Hangö Folkia center

Renovation and planning a new extension

Hangö Folkia center functions as a lunch restaurant, accommodation facility and an occasion space. The historical building was built in 1906 as a 1000 m2 school building with a timber log structure and has undergone multiple renovations. Our objective was to design a renovation plan so that the restaurant could be moved from a neighboring building as well as replacing the part that was damaged by mold. The new extension was planned to have accommodation. An elevator was added to the building for accessibility to nearly all spaces.
